Ellie Mae is an intelligent, inquisitive four year old Australian cattle dog mix who needs someone who is active, has some dog handling skills and who will be attentive to her intense nature and need for exercise. This girl is full of sass and wants to be the boss-dog! She came to the shelter with a male companion, with whom she got along very well. However, her friend has been adopted and Ellie Mae hasn’t seen another dog she likes and is quick to say so.
Her ideal new home would be one without close neighbors or other dogs. If she lives in town, she will need a fenced yard. Her previous life on the farm was one where she and her companion would keep animals off the property, so that is her mode of operation. She is also in charge of treeing all squirrels in her foster home and does so with a great deal of vigor! Ellie loves being inside and hanging with her people; she goes on walks like a very well-behaved lady and loves going for car rides. She is completely housebroken and doesn’t bother anything in the house.
Ellie Mae’s adoption fee is $200; she is microchipped, spayed, and up to date on vaccines.
