Dewey is a husky mix and is an active guy. He is friendly and loves attention. Dewey is working on basic manners and obedience training and he would like a home where he can continue his training. He gets along with other dogs who are his size. Due to his energy level, Dewey would do best in a home with older children and dogs his size; no cats, small dogs, or young children. Dewey needs a confident handler that can set boundaries and give him structure.
Dewey is one year old and weighs 35 pounds.
Dewey’s adoption fee is $200; he is microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and neutered. If you would like to meet Dewey, please complete an online adoption application. Click on the “Adopt Me” button below.
Dewey has heartworms and will be starting treatment soon. He would greatly benefit from having a quiet home to recuperate in rather than trying to rest in a noisy and stressful shelter environment. If you would like to provide a foster home, or foster-to-adopt home, during Dewey’s heartworm treatment, Helping Strays will provide everything you need; the medical care, crate, food, etc. Foster-to-adopt would be a great way to get to know him. Finalizing the adoption would be done once treatment is complete.
